Overview

Toolbox 2000 is distributed exclusively through Apple's Mac App Store. Your purchase and use of Toolbox 2000 is subject to Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA).

Apple's Standard EULA

When you purchase Toolbox 2000 through the Mac App Store, you automatically agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (LAEULA).

Key points from Apple's standard EULA:

Licence Grant

  • You receive a non-transferable licence to use the Application on Apple-branded products you own or control

  • The licence is for personal, non-commercial use (unless you're using for business purposes, which is permitted)

  • You may install the Application on multiple devices associated with your Apple ID

Permitted Uses

  • Install and use on Macs signed into your Apple ID

  • Use for personal and commercial purposes

  • Backup copies for personal use

Restrictions

  • You may not redistribute, sell, rent, or lease the Application

  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application

  • You may not remove any proprietary notices or labels

Updates

  • Updates are provided through the Mac App Store

  • Updates may be automatic depending on your Mac App Store settings

  • Continued use after updates means acceptance of updated terms

In addition to Apple's standard EULA, these BugEye Software-specific terms apply:

Commercial Use Permitted

Unlike some Mac App Store applications, we explicitly permit commercial use of Toolbox 2000:

  • Use in client projects ✓

  • No additional licence required ✓

Family Sharing

Toolbox 2000 supports Family Sharing through the Mac App Store:

  • Purchase once, share with up to 5 family members

  • Each family member gets their own licence

  • Subject to Apple's Family Sharing terms

Multiple Device Installation

You may install Toolbox 2000 on:

  • All Macs signed into your Apple ID

  • No device limit (within Apple's policies)

  • Personal and work computers

Data and Privacy

  • Toolbox 2000 operates entirely locally on your Mac

  • No data is transmitted to BugEye Software servers

  • All preferences and saved items are stored on your device

Refunds and Cancellations

Refund Policy

Refunds are handled exclusively through Apple:

Within 90 days of purchase:

  1. Visit Apple's Report a Problem page

  2. Sign in with your Apple ID

  3. Locate your Toolbox 2000 purchase

  4. Select "Report a Problem"

  5. Choose your reason and submit

Apple's typical refund window: 14-30 days, but they evaluate each request individually.

We cannot process refunds directly. All refund requests must go through Apple.

Common Refund Reasons Apple Accepts

  • Accidental purchase

  • Technical issues preventing use

  • Application doesn't work as described

  • Compatibility issues

Refund Limitations

  • Refunds are at Apple's discretion

  • Past Apple's refund window, sales are final

  • Refund of one purchase doesn't affect licences on other devices

  • Storage: 50MB available space

  • Memory: 4GB RAM minimum

  • Internet: Required for download and licence verification

  • Optimised for macOS Sonoma and later

  • Tested on Ventura and Monterey

  • May work on older versions but not officially supported

Updates

  • Free updates delivered through Mac App Store

  • Automatic updates can be configured in Mac App Store preferences

  • We recommend keeping Toolbox 2000 updated for best performance

Intellectual Property

Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in Toolbox 2000 remain with Albino Zebra Creative Services / BugEye Software.

Your Content

We claim no rights to your creative work. Anything you create using Toolbox 2000 (palettes, designs, exports) belongs entirely to you.

Trademarks

  • "Toolbox 2000" is a trademark of BugEye Software

  • "BugEye Software" is a trademark of Albino Zebra Creative Services

  • Apple, Mac, macOS, and Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Support and Maintenance

Technical Support

BugEye Software provides:

  • Built-in help documentation (⌘? in the Application)

  • Website resources: bugeyesoftware.com

Response times:

  • We aim for 48-72-hour response to support emails

  • No guaranteed response time

  • Support provided in English

Apple does not provide technical support for third-party apps. All support requests should be directed to BugEye Software.

Maintenance

  • Bug fixes and performance improvements delivered via Mac App Store updates

  • No maintenance windows or downtime (application runs locally)

  • No subscription or ongoing fees

Termination

By You

You may terminate your licence at any time by:

  • Deleting Toolbox 2000 from all your devices

  • Requesting a refund through Apple (if eligible)

By Apple

Apple may terminate your licence if:

  • You violate Mac App Store terms

  • Your Apple ID is terminated or suspended

  • Payment issues occur

By BugEye Software

We may terminate your licence if:

  • You violate these terms

  • You use the Application for illegal purposes

  • You reverse engineer or redistribute the Application

Effect of Termination

  • Your right to use Toolbox 2000 ends immediately

  • You must delete all copies from your devices

  • No refund is owed (unless within Apple's refund window)

Warranty and Liability

Limited Warranty

Toolbox 2000 is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

We make no guarantees about:

  • Uninterrupted operation

  • Error-free performance

  • Compatibility with all Mac configurations

  • Fitness for any particular purpose

Limitation of Liability

BugEye Software's maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for Toolbox 2000 (AU$14.99).

We are not liable for:

  • Loss of data or work product

  • Lost profits or business opportunities

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Issues caused by your Mac's configuration

Apple's Role

Apple is not responsible for:

  • Toolbox 2000's functionality or performance

  • Support or maintenance

  • Product liability claims

  • Intellectual property infringement claims

Apple is only responsible for:

  • Processing your purchase through Mac App Store

  • Delivering the Application to your device

  • Refunds per their policy

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this agreement excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable consumer protection laws.

Privacy and Data Collection

What We Collect

Nothing. Toolbox 2000 operates entirely locally on your Mac with:

  • No analytics or tracking

  • No data transmission to external servers

  • No cloud storage or syncing

  • No account creation required

What Apple Collects

Apple may collect:

  • Purchase information (for Mac App Store)

  • Device information (for compatibility)

  • Crash reports (if you opt in to share with developers)

Clipboard Access

Toolbox 2000 writes to your clipboard when you use copy functions. This is standard macOS behaviour, and data stays on your device.

Screen Capture

The colour picker temporarily captures screen pixels to sample colours. No images are stored or transmitted.

Governing Law

This licence agreement is governed by:

  • Primary: Australian law (New South Wales)

  • Secondary: Apple's Mac App Store terms

  • Consumer Rights: Your local consumer protection laws (where applicable)

Dispute Resolution:

  • Disputes with BugEye Software: NSW, Australia courts

  • Disputes with Apple: Subject to Apple's terms

  • Consumer disputes: Your local consumer protection authority

Changes to This Agreement

Modifications

We may update this licence agreement to:

  • Reflect changes in the Application

  • Comply with legal requirements

  • Clarify existing terms

Notification

Changes will be communicated via:

  • Updated "Last Updated" date on this page

  • App Store update notes (for material changes)

  • In-app notification (if necessary)

Acceptance

Continued use of Toolbox 2000 after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
